Maintenance Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical Bias)
We are currently recruiting for multiple Maintenance Engineers to join a growing and well‑established manufacturing business. These opportunities are ideal for both electrically biased and mechanically biased engineers, with positions available on rotating shifts (mornings/afternoons) as well as a days‑only pattern—perfect for those seeking improved work‑life balance.
These roles are easily commutable from Scunthorpe, Goole, Doncaster, York, Hull, Leeds and Selby, offering excellent regional accessibility.
Salary & Benefits
- £40,000 – £43,500 basic salary (depending on experience)

Shift Options
- Days‑Based Role:• No night shifts• Optional weekend overtime available
- Rotating Shifts Role:• Mornings & afternoons (shift allowance applicable)
The Role
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Fault find on electrical and mechanical systems, including conveyors and production machinery
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults, including PLC‑related issues
- Maintain and repair plant equipment to minimise downtime
- Follow up on issues identified during maintenance inspections
- Take ownership of your area and drive improvements in maintenance KPIs
- Work closely with operations to deliver a strong, service‑focused engineering function
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained safely and effectively
- Adhere to all Health & Safety and company procedures
About You
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (essential)
- Electrically or mechanically biased with strong fault‑finding skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Ability to work under pressure and use initiative
- Strong teamwork and problem‑solving skills
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge
- PLC fault‑finding experience
- Welding or fabrication experience
