We’re looking for a Section Engineer to join our Natural Resources team, working at our wastewater site for Thames Water in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. This is a permanent, full‑time position; flexible and part‑time hours may be available if desired.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives.
- Interpret design documentation and ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Support construction teams with technical queries, resolve design conflicts, and drive value‑engineering initiatives.
- Manage and coordinate temporary works designs and approvals in line with site requirements and programme.
- Monitor and record construction progress and provide accurate technical input to support project reporting and planning.
Qualifications
- Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in civil engineering, mechanical, electrical or related engineering discipline.
- CSCS and SMSTS card holder.
- Experience within a civil engineering or construction environment and with demonstrable experience in the water sector.
- Full driving licence.
