PAT Testing Engineer St John’s Wood

JR PAT Testing is a growing PAT and Compliance company that is looking for experienced PAT Engineers to join our team in St John’s Wood. All positions are self‑employed, offering flexible hours for part‑time or full‑time work.

Self‑employed engineers must have the correct equipment, the required City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification (or equivalent), and maintain their own insurance and calibrated instruments. They are expected to travel within a reasonable distance of St John’s Wood, although the company operates nationally.

• Experience: Proven competence in line with City & Guilds 2377
• Location: St John’s Wood; commutable areas nationally
• Salary: Pro‑rated based on rate per appliance, number of tests, and job dynamics; discussed at booking

Responsibilities

• Travel to client sites and set up test equipment and record‑keeping tools.
• Conduct PAT tests on a range of appliances (microwaves, kettles, computers, etc.).
• Record findings in a dedicated PAT test report book or electronic system.
• Complete necessary paperwork, including completion certificates and checklists.
• Inform users of results and explain any safety issues.
• Ensure all tests are completed accurately, efficiently and that equipment is maintained.
