M&E Maintenance Project Manager (Public Sector) (BBBH15096CH) Belfast, Northern Ireland

Salary: GBP44,075 – GBP47,181 per annum

VANRATH is assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for an M&E Maintenance Project Manager for a 6‑month contract with a possibility of extension or permanent placement in the Belfast office.

Responsibilities

  • Respond on a day‑to‑day basis to requests from building users for urgent repairs to mechanical and electrical systems, including kitchen equipment and other necessary services.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to day‑to‑day emergency maintenance and repair requests for the mechanical and electrical installations and equipment in all properties.
  • Carry out regular visits to properties in relation to day‑to‑day maintenance problems and planned maintenance programmes.
  • Appoint and supervise contractors of various disciplines to carry out maintenance repairs and planned maintenance projects.
  • Issue and be accountable for works orders to contractors for maintenance works and tendered projects.
  • Inspect, supervise and instruct contractors of various disciplines regarding the quality of work in progress.
  • Co‑operate with DRD, DENI, Water Service, Local Councils, NIE and the Health and Safety Inspectorate to enable maintenance projects to be carried out effectively and in compliance with relevant legislation.

Essential Skills Required

  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical & Electrical discipline with a minimum of 2 years post‑qualified experience.
  • ONC or equivalent in Mechanical & Electrical discipline with a minimum of 4 years post‑qualified experience.
  • Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years experience in a Mechanical & Electrical discipline.
  • Proven ability to achieve challenging targets and objectives through team engagement.
  • Proven ability to build high‑performance teams, deliver results on time and solve problems through informed decision‑making.
  • Proven ability to build and promote a strong, consistent Service Delivery culture throughout a large, complex, multi‑site organisation.

Remuneration £44,075 per annum, plus discount benefits.
