We are currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer to work for a major civil engineering contractor based in the Midlands. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of main contracting experience within the civil engineering industry, with rail project experience preferred.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree Qualified in Civil Engineering
• At least 1 year postgraduate experience working for a main/regional contractor
• Rail project experience
• Seeking a permanent role with career development opportunities
• PTS Card
• Additional tickets such as CSCS, SMSTS, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Good communication skills
• Obtain drawings and notify of changes
• Request RFIs and maintain tracking systems to manage responses and closeouts
• Ensure all temporary works designs are in place
• Work in accordance with current drawings and specifications
• Perform setting out as per method statements and risk assessments
• Manage QA checks, reports, and documentation
• Coordinate engineering resources and gather as-built information
• Close out defects promptly
