Location: Reading with Hybrid Working

Sector: Multi-Sector Design Projects

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer looking to work across a broad mix of sectors, including high‑rise residential, commercial fit‑out, healthcare, defence, retail and large‑scale international developments. You will play a key role in delivering electrical design solutions while working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams across the full project lifecycle.

The Role

• Produce electrical design calculations using software such as Amtech, Dialux and Relux.
• Deliver designs using CAD and BIM tools including Revit.
• Attend client and project meetings, presenting design solutions.
• Undertake condition surveys and technical assessments.
• Carry out third‑party design reviews.
• Support project delivery from inception through to completion.
• Contribute to site monitoring and oversee installation works.

About You

• Degree qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience in electrical design within a consultancy or contractor environment.
• Working towards chartered status or keen to progress.
• Strong experience with design software including Amtech, Dialux or similar.
• Proficient in CAD and ideally Revit.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Motivated, organised and keen to develop.
