Role Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to support a large student accommodation project starting in June in Leeds city centre, with further projects to follow across Leeds. This is a permanent role offering the opportunity to oversee a major project from inception through to completion, working within a collaborative and supportive delivery team with strong prospects for long-term career progression.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Managing mechanical works on a large-scale project from planning through to delivery and handover
- Overseeing budgets, programmes, and resource allocation
- Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Ensuring all works are delivered in line with health and safety and quality standards
- Monitoring project progress and resolving any issues efficiently
- Providing regular project updates and reports
Skills and Qualifications Required
- Strong mechanical background, including HVAC, pipework, and plant systems
- Valid SMSTS/SSSTS Qualification
- Proven experience managing large-scale mechanical or M&E projects
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project timelines
- Commitment to health and safety and quality standards
- Based within or able to work in Leeds
