Fire Door Carpenter / Maintenance Engineer
£180-£200 Per Day | London | Immediate Start | Ongoing Work Available

Optimal Maintenance Ltd is looking for an experienced Fire Door Carpenter / Maintenance Engineer to join our growing Maintenance Division across London.
Role
You will carry out a mixture of work including:
- Fire door installations
- Fire door remedial works
- Adjustments and easing
- Replacing intumescent strips and smoke seals
- Door closers and ironmongery upgrades
- Fire stopping works
- General carpentry maintenance
- Property repair works across residential and commercial properties
You will also:
- Identify non‑compliant fire doors and advise on remedial solutions
- Complete works in line with fire safety regulations
- Liaise professionally with clients and tenants
- Maintain accurate job records and photographs via smartphone
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years carpentry experience
- Proven fire door experience
- Good understanding of fire door compliance and regulations
- Experience with fire door remedial works and installations
- Ability to work independently and problemsolve on site
- Strong communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- DBS Certificate/check
- Smartphone literate
Highly Desirable
- FIRAS / BM TRADA experience
- Own van and tools
- Experience working within occupied properties
- Basic multi‑trade skills
