Innovation Tax Manager

Role Overview

Software Manager in the Innovation Tax team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and drive the success of end‑to‑end R&D claim processes.
• Lead complex technical interviews and support high‑value projects, including problem‑solving with numerous stakeholders.
• Build client relationships and participate in business development, identifying and winning new opportunities.
• Manage output of junior team members, including producing timely, risk‑managed narratives and developing junior staff.
• Understand the impact of upcoming legislation and communicate its implications to clients.
• Design and describe different practical assessment methodologies.
• Build relationships and trust with clients by understanding their needs and expectations through reliable communication.
• Support the team’s ambition to innovate how we work, choosing areas of value add.

Qualifications

• A background in technology through formal qualification or role experience.
• Experience in the R&D tax world, managing a wide portfolio of clients.
• Confidence in managing and growing the output of others.
• Strong risk awareness in technical aspects with problem‑solving ability.
• Eagerness to grow and innovate.
