The Opportunity
This is a senior internal-facing role for an experienced D365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant who wants to make a long-term impact inside a growing digital consultancy.
You will work as part of a dedicated internal D365 delivery team, alongside a Project Manager, Solution Architect, Engineers, and technical leadership. Together, you will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing evolution of DigX’s D365 Finance & Operations platform, ensuring it effectively supports the business as it grows and matures.
In addition to owning and optimising D365 internally, you will also provide behind-the-scenes subject‑matter expertise to client‑facing delivery teams. This includes supporting solution design, assurance, and complex problem‑solving on D365‑related programmes, without being a front‑line delivery consultant.
What You’ll Do
Internal D365 Ownership
- Play a key functional role in the implementation of D365 Finance & Operations within DigX.
- Work closely with a dedicated cross‑functional team including a Project Manager, Solution Architect, Engineers, and technical leadership to deliver a high‑quality D365 solution.
- Act as the functional authority for DigX’s internal D365 F&O environment, owning configuration, change management, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, and other business stakeholders to translate business needs into effective functional designs.
- Support testing, UAT, go‑live readiness, and post‑implementation optimisation.
- Oversee functional impacts of releases, updates, and enhancements.
Functional Expertise & Governance
- Ensure best‑practice use of D365 F&O across finance, operations, and related modules.
- Maintain clear functional documentation and support data, reporting, and integration requirements from a functional perspective.
- Work with technical teams to ensure functional intent is accurately realised.
- Support issue resolution and improvement initiatives across the platform.
Client Project SME Support
- Act as an internal D365 Finance & Operations SME supporting DigX’s client delivery teams.
- Provide functional input into solution design, assurance, and complex troubleshooting.
- Support pre‑sales and solution shaping where D365 F&O expertise is required.
- Share knowledge, patterns, and lessons learned to improve delivery quality across engagements.
What You’ll Bring
- Significant, hands‑on experience as a D365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant.
- Strong functional expertise across core F&O areas.
- Experience supporting or delivering D365 implementations from design through to live operation.
- A pragmatic, delivery‑focused mindset with strong communication and documentation skills.
- Experience working in consulting or project‑based environments (beneficial but not essential).
- The ability to operate as a trusted expert within a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary team.
