Human Resources Consultant – Vice President

Location: Belfast, UK

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted HR adviser to the business, providing pragmatic counsel and support to enable effective people decision‑making and delivery of the business plan.
  • Serve an on‑site presence in Belfast and partner closely with regional and global HR colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of global initiatives and core processes.
  • Drive performance management, year‑end processes, compensation, and promotion activity; provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to deliver lateral hiring plans, support candidate assessments, offer approvals and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with L&D to support organisational effectiveness and leadership capability, including contributing to organisational design.
  • Work with Learning to identify skills gaps and implement solutions across technical and behavioural capability, and facilitate HR‑led learning sessions where required.
  • Partner with Employee Relations to proactively identify and manage risks, ensuring outcomes protect the firm’s franchise.
  • Analyse employee engagement survey results and collaborate with leaders on tracking action plans; help shape a positive, high‑performance culture in Belfast.
  • Partner with HR data and reporting team to deliver workforce insights including headcount, attrition, and mobility.
  • Support delivery of cross‑Line of Business HR initiatives focused on growth and site maturity.

Qualifications

  • Prior HR experience supporting a Financial Services business.
  • Solid knowledge across core HR disciplines (performance, talent acquisition, employee relations, learning, reward).
  • Experience in a fast‑paced, operational environment; Operations experience considered an advantage.
  • Strong judgement, resilience, ability to manage ambiguity and competing priorities, and to work independently while collaborating across a matrixed environment.
  • Strong analytical capability, including interpreting data and identifying trends.
  • Proactive, commercial and business‑focused mindset, with confidence to challenge where appropriate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptable, flexible and comfortable supporting change in an evolving organisation.
