Humanities Teacher / Humanities ECT – History, RE & Geography

We are a Secondary School rated outstanding in the Borough of Wandsworth, seeking a full‑time, permanent Humanities Teacher or ECT for History, RE and Geography. The role starts ASAP.

The Humanities Department has grown under its current Head of Department to a mix of experienced, Teach First and graduate teaching assistants, covering KS3 to KS5.

Experienced teachers may take on TLR roles such as KS3 & KS4 Coordinator or pastoral responsibilities. Newly qualified teachers will receive bespoke ECT induction and 1:1 mentoring.

Job Description

• Humanities Teacher / ECT – History, RE & Geography (KS3 to KS5)
• Inspire and motivate the younger generation
• Work alongside a team of humanities teachers
• TLR opportunities: KS3 & KS4 Coordinator and pastoral responsibilities
• ECTs welcome: 1:1 mentor, bespoke induction and in‑house training
• ASAP start – full time & permanent
• MPS1‑UPS3 + TLR (size depending on experience)
• Location: Borough of Wandsworth

Person Specification

• UK QTS or in the process of gaining QTS
• Strong academics – degree, A‑Levels, GCSEs
• Consistently meet the eight Teaching Standards at a good or outstanding level
• Collaborative with a large team of humanities teachers
• Receptive to feedback and professional development
