Role
Reporting to the Branch Sales Manager, you will drive the growth of a sales territory and provide excellent customer service to businesses across diverse sectors. Existing client portfolio is in place; success relies on 80% new business development and 20% account management of Crown customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead all stages of the sales process: prospecting, appointment setting, customer presentations and demonstrations, and closing deals.
- Plan and manage the territory efficiently to maximize results.
- Adopt a consultative approach, developing thorough understanding of each prospect’s operations to identify opportunities for new and expanded business.
- Build strong presentations and face‑to‑face customer engagement.
Skills and Experience
- 3 years sales experience, ideally within the materials handling sector.
- Strong new‑business development skills.
- Excellent customer‑management skills for building long‑lasting relationships.
- Personable; ability to build strong relationships.
- Strong presentation and customer‑facing skills.
- Commercial acumen: need identification, market awareness, competitor awareness.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and cloud‑based CRM systems.
- Excellent organisational skills – territory planning, time management, and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to meet targets by maximising upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.
- Ability to absorb client information and communicate product features and benefits.
- KPI‑driven.
- Full UK driving licence.
