Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Sales Manager to lead and develop a high‑performing sales team. The role focuses on steering high‑growth sales departments in B2B and B2B2C environments, mentoring managers, and driving customer‑centric growth for our Salary Sacrifice product.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Sales Managers, coaching them to exceed collective targets and KPIs.
- Mentor managers to improve leadership, sales, and coaching abilities through regular 1:1 sessions, PDPs, and L&D activities.
- Build and sustain a high‑performance culture aligned with OEV values and act as a role model for the department.
- Identify and nurture future leaders, creating a sustainable talent pipeline for internal promotion and succession planning.
- Oversee the entire team’s pipeline, identify bottlenecks and opportunities, and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to drive results.
- Use data analysis to inform decisions, create performance stories, and build actionable plans for the leadership team.
- Champion and embed the sales methodology across the organization to improve conversion and quality.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain high‑performing Sales Managers and EV Experts, ensuring consistent hiring quality.
- Refine the onboarding journey to accelerate new‑hire success and readiness.
- Oversee and analyse CSAT and Trustpilot scores, using insights to drive tangible improvements at every customer touchpoint.
- Maintain regulatory oversight of QA and compliance, ensuring adherence to FCA guidelines and quality standards.
- Identify root causes of systemic complaints and implement proactive process changes to transform negative experiences.
- Collaborate with Marketing, CS, and other leaders to enhance the customer journey and influence lead quality and volume.
- Proactively suggest improvements, lead key projects, and make decisions when the Head of Sales is unavailable.
- Communicate complex changes clearly, managing the mindset of the management tier to maintain morale and reduce resistance.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Extensive sales management experience managing “managers of managers” in a high‑volume, phone‑based setting.
- Strategic mindset: ability to balance day‑to‑day execution with long‑term planning, understanding how departmental performance impacts broader OEV goals.
- Data fluency: strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and drive performance improvements.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of leading, influencing, and mentoring across multiple management tiers.
- Passion for decarbonisation and electric vehicles, with a customer‑love mindset.
- Adaptability: a self‑starter attitude that thrives in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing growth environment.
