Alexander Lloyd are proud to be partnering with an award-winning multi-site market leading organisation to help recruit a Part Time Payroll Manager

This is a standalone position reporting into the Finance Director with a dotted line into HR. 3 days PW (Only one day in the office)

You will lead and have full autonomy for the businesses UK payroll function. 250 + employees

Duties will include

  • Manage end-to-end monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Review payroll inputs and outputs, validating data before submission
  • Liaise with our outsourced provider to process payroll effectively
  • Oversee payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies proactively
  • Manage BACS submission and pay slip distribution
  • P11Ds and benefits reporting
  • PAYE and National Insurance obligations
  • PAYE Settlement Agreements (PSAs)
  • Year-end processes (P60s, Class 1A NICs)
  • Manage pension calculations and submissions
  • Oversee benefits administration, including private medical insurance and salary sacrifice schemes
  • Ensure accurate Benefits in Kind (BIK) reporting
  • Act as the key point of contact between Finance, HR, and external providers
  • Monitor and challenge outsourced provider service delivery and accuracy

You will have the following skill set

  • Hit the ground running experienced payroll professional who has worked within 200 + employee businesses
  • Strong knowledge of HMRC regulations and payroll compliance
  • Experience working with outsourced payroll providers
  • Solid understanding of payroll controls, reconciliations, and risk management
  • Experience managing pensions and benefits in payroll
