We are seeking passionate and industrious Solutions Engineers to join our go‑to‑market organization and help customers realize the full value of Algolia’s platform. This role partners with Sales, works closely with prospects and customers, and plays a key role in evaluating and adopting our solutions.
Your Role Will Consist Of
- Work with Sales Teams and prospects on their evaluation and adoption of Algolia solutions
- Understand and qualify customer goals with KPIs and effectively articulate Algolia’s ability to meet them
- Assist in the Sales process including discovery, demo, Proofs of Concept (POC), RFP responses & business justification
- Develop custom search applications leveraging the tools, frameworks, and partners of the Algolia ecosystem
- Distill and advocate customer interests, needs and product feedback to Product and Engineering teams
- Continuously learn and update skills, stay aware of industry trends in Search and Discovery, and contribute to thought leadership
- Work with Solution Architects and Customer Success teams to transition to post‑sales for successful onboarding
You Might Be a Fit If You Have
- Speak German fluently
- Obsessed with solving customer problems
- 4+ years experience in a customer‑facing technical role (SE, SA, consultant, PM), ideally in SaaS
- Previous software development experience in Front End: JavaScript, TypeScript, React
- Previous software development experience in Back End: Java, Ruby, Go, Node, Python, Swift/Objective‑C
- Experience with data formats and data transformation
- Great oral and written communication skills
- Superior organizational skills managing multiple customers and switching contexts quickly
- Experience at high‑growth, $150‑300M+ ARR stage and beyond
Nice To Have
- Background in the search industry or e‑commerce
- Specific knowledge in frameworks like Magento, Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, commercetools
- Familiarity with emerging concepts in agentic AI systems (e.g., autonomous reasoning, tool use, multi‑agent orchestration)
- Knowledge in Analytics, SEO
