Job Description
As a solution architect for Supply Chain, you will participate in an end‑to‑end journey that includes generating leads, co‑creating next generation business models, synthesizing end‑to‑end processes, building solution roadmaps, identifying digitization opportunities, participating in assessments, guiding customers, delivering minimum viable products, obtaining buy‑ins, participating in product roadmap discussions, and providing independent point of view.
Responsibilities
- Generating leads from key clients based on consulting‑based ideas
- Co‑creating next generation business models and processes that give clients a competitive edge
- Synthesizing end‑to‑end processes across planning, sales, procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, plant maintenance, and customer service
- Building solution roadmaps riding on SAP best practices across S/4HANA, SaaS LoB solutions, SFDC, etc.
- Identifying opportunities for digitization and automation using AI, Blockchain, IoT, RPA, and other levers
- Participating in assessments, due diligences, and transformation workshops
- Guiding customers to build business cases for transformation initiatives
- Driving direct engagement with customer business and speaking their language
- Realizing business blueprints, proofs of concept, transformation plans, change impacts, and learning content
- Moderating large workshops across business domains such as procurement, manufacturing, and finance
- Delivering S/4HANA minimum viable products, templates, and pilots
- Obtaining buy‑ins and acceptance from business on delivered products
- Participating in product roadmap discussions with partners like SAP, Microsoft, etc.
- Providing independent point of view based on experience and vendor roadmaps
Qualifications
- Experience in the entire SAP Product Portfolio and SAP Consulting
- Deep functional or technical skills in at least two SAP ERP areas (Finance, Manufacturing, Logistics, Sales, ABAP, UI5, Integration, Security, Basis)
- IT Architecture including SAP Architecture
- Business acumen across multiple industry segments and value chains
- Experience interacting with C‑level executives and middle‑management stakeholders
- Hands‑on SAP consulting experience of 14+ years with either an industry segment or skill focus
- 5+ end‑to‑end project experience in new SAP offerings
- Lead or architect role experience in projects
- Experience with Greenfield, Brownfield, or hybrid projects
- Transformation preparation / Phase 0 experience
- SAP toolchain user or administration experience
- Valid SAP certification in relevant skills
- Excellent interpersonal and client presentability skills
- Solution proposal building and effort estimation skills
- Multi‑tasking flexibility, team spirit, and winning attitude
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to multiple SAP modules and skill areas within the product portfolio
- Hands‑on Service Delivery responsibilities in SAP Sales
- Prior business domain experience before IT experience
- External publications in public domain on respective industry or skills area
- Additional exposure to other tech stacks apart from SAP (e.g., SFDC, Microsoft)
