Role Overview & Responsibilities

TT Electronics, Eastleigh is hiring a Quality Inspector to carry out mechanical inspections of component parts and support inspections of manufactured electronic assemblies and subassemblies.

Key responsibilities:

  • The incoming inspection of machined and moulded parts, including aesthetics.
  • Identifying, recording, and escalating any nonconformities.
  • Performing internal calibration activities on instruments such as gauges and weighing scales.
  • Supporting the quality team with investigations, audits, and customer returns.
  • Championing continuous improvement where opportunities have been identified.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

  • Experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Competent in using manual measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspection work.
  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Methodical, organised, and able to follow established processes.
  • A team player with the ability to support wider quality and operational objectives.

Desired Qualifications (not essential)

  • Experience in aerospace, defence or similarly regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of First Article Inspection process.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO 9001.
  • Formal training in quality inspection techniques or relevant vocational qualifications.
