Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting a Human Resources Business Partner Vice President to join their London office. This senior role focuses on shaping the people strategy across MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc, partnering with local and pan‑European business areas, advising senior stakeholders, and delivering HR solutions that align with global objectives while respecting regional nuances.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with designated business areas to align human resources practices with strategic business initiatives by attending planning meetings and providing comprehensive advice.
  • Design and lead strategic projects that drive business results in line with the Medium‑Term Business Plan, ensuring all HR services are proactive, commercial, and responsive.
  • Diagnose business issues and goals effectively, aligning them with the People Strategy to nurture a high‑performance culture throughout the organisation.
  • Develop strong relationships with Centres of Excellence (CoEs) and HR peers regionally and globally, acting as subject matter expert for allocated CoE partnerships.
  • Collaborate with managers to develop, implement, and manage career development plans that enable employees to reach their full potential within both their function and the wider group.
  • Support line management in forecasting and planning talent requirements in accordance with evolving business strategies.
  • Oversee the Compensation Review process by working closely with Reward, Regulation & Benefits teams as well as business managers to ensure fairness and market competitiveness.
  • Address complex queries related to compensation surveys, expatriation issues, flexible benefits, tax matters, and other associated topics by liaising with relevant HR teams.
  • Ensure performance management policies are implemented consistently while leading or contributing to departmental or cross‑business projects aligned with global strategy.
  • Manage Employee Relations cases such as investigations, grievances, disciplinary processes, appeals, and dispute resolution in accordance with legal requirements and company policy.

What you bring

  • Demonstrable experience as an HR Business Partner within financial services environments partnering directly with front office functions is essential for success in this role.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification provides the foundational knowledge required for this position.
  • Exceptional communication skills enable you to build trust‑based relationships at all levels of the organisation while conveying complex information clearly.
  • A results‑oriented approach combined with accountability ensures that you deliver on commitments while maintaining high standards of quality.
