Commercial Director

Vercity are one of the UK’s leading infrastructure asset managers. Due to continued growth we are seeking an experienced Commercial Director to play a pivotal role in the leadership and commercial management of a flagship SPV / PFI across 2 of the largest hospitals in the capitol.

Reporting to the Project Director, you’ll lead the projects on a BAU basis and take full responsibility for the commercial and contractual performance of the Project Company, acting as a trusted, senior figure with boards, funders and key stakeholders.

This is a high‑impact position where you’ll:

• Lead commercial management of a complex PFI concession
• Ensure full compliance with the Project Agreement, finance documents and Management Services Agreement
• Act as the senior commercial interface with the Board and Funders
• Oversee lifecycle, variations, governance and risk management
• Manage significant contractual changes from inception to execution
• Ensure compliance with evolving legislative and statutory requirements, including Building Safety obligations
• Identify and support commercial and business development opportunities

You’ll bring:

• Proven experience operating at a senior level withinSPV/PFI or similarly complex contractual environments
• Deep understanding of Project Agreements, performance contracts, funding structures and risk management
• A strong track record of stakeholder management with boards, funders and public sector bodies
• Experience overseeing Hard and Soft FM performance regimes
• The ability to interpret complex legal and commercial documentation and provide clear, pragmatic advice
• Demonstrable leadership experience and confidence operating in an inter‑agency setting
• A recognised professional discipline (e.g. QS, PM or similar) and a relevant professional qualification
