What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Drive Market Expansion: Spearhead the growth of our MaaS offerings, positioning Alibaba Cloud as the infrastructure and model partner of choice for AI-native companies and enterprises undergoing AI transformation.
- Ecosystem Building: Identify, hunt, and cultivate deep relationships with AI startups, research institutions, venture capital networks, and technical founders across the UK and Europe.
- Full-Cycle Pipeline Ownership: Build and manage a robust sales pipeline from aggressive prospecting and industry networking to negotiating and closing high-value deals.
- Go-To-Market Execution: Tailor and execute localized GTM strategies for our AI/ML product portfolio to effectively capture European market share.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Solution Architects and Product Teams to deliver compelling, customized technical proposals and product demonstrations.
- Market Voice: Represent Alibaba Cloud at premier AI conferences, local meetups, and industry forums to champion our thought leadership in Generative AI.
Who You Are (Qualifications Required)
- Cloud/AI Sales Expertise: 3+ years of proven business development, sales, or partnership experience within Cloud Computing, AI/ML, or Enterprise Software.
- SaaS Proven Track Record: A demonstrable history of hitting and exceeding sales quotas in competitive tech landscapes.
- AI Literacy: A strong conceptual understanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and model training/inference workflow.
- Networker: An existing professional network within the UK/European tech startup, developer, or enterprise AI community.
- Communication: Exceptional presentation and communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex technical value propositions to both business and technical stakeholders.
- Thrives in Ambiguity: An entrepreneurial mindset with the independence to build a territory from scratch in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Attributes (Bonus Points)
- Experience selling directly to technical decision-makers (CTOs, Head of AI, ML Engineers, Data Scientists).
- Familiarity with the broader cloud AI landscape (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, GCP Vertex AI).
- Previous experience working within a hyper-growth AI startup or a major cloud hyperscaler.
- Professional fluency in additional European languages (e.g., German, Spanish, Dutch).
