An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join a rapidly growing, family-owned food manufacturing business at a pivotal stage of its journey.

With ambitious growth plans and future multi-site expansion on the horizon, this newly created role offers the opportunity to build and lead the people agenda, working directly alongside the CEO and senior leadership team to develop a high-performing, engaged, and scalable workforce.

This is far more than a traditional HR role. You’ll be instrumental in shaping culture, driving organisational development, strengthening employee engagement, and ensuring the business has the people capability to support its long-term growth strategy.

As HR Manager, you will take ownership of the entire employee lifecycle while developing and implementing a people strategy that supports business objectives and future expansion.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with senior leadership to develop and execute the people strategy
  • Leading recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and retention initiatives
  • Building a strong employer brand and employee value proposition
  • Developing performance management, appraisal, and development frameworks
  • Managing employee relations, including disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Driving employee engagement, communication, and company culture initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Managing HR systems, reporting, policies, and personnel records

Experience/Qualifications:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified
  • Experience within manufacturing, food manufacturing, logistics, or another operational environment
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience building HR processes, systems, and people initiatives
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Experience with HRIS systems and HR reporting
  • Fluency in Hindi and/or Gujariti is absolutely essential due to the demographic of the workforce.
