An established precision engineering business is looking to appoint a Technical Sales Engineer to drive growth across high performance engineering sectors.
About the Role
This is a field-based role with full ownership of a UK territory. You will inherit an existing customer base while being expected to generate new business across advanced engineering markets. The position offers a high level of autonomy with no internal competition for accounts.
Responsibilities
- Develop sales of precision 5-axis CNC machined components into sectors including aerospace, medical, electronics, scientific and industrial
- Manage and grow an existing portfolio of customers alongside winning new business with a 50/50 split
- Engage with design engineers and technical stakeholders to understand complex requirements and provide engineered solutions
- Manage the full sales cycle supported by an internal engineering team for quotations and costings
Qualifications
- Experience in technical sales within CNC machining, subcontract machining or precision engineering
Required Skills
- Proven ability to win new business and manage existing accounts
- Comfortable selling to design engineers and technical decision makers
- Strong technical understanding of machining or precision components
- Self-motivated and able to operate effectively in a field-based role
Preferred Skills
- Access to high specification and technically demanding markets
- Full autonomy as the sole UK sales engineer with freedom to develop territory and sector focus
Pay range and compensation package
Salary £70,000 to £75,000 plus car allowance and bonus
