A well-established residential developer is seeking to appoint a Planner/Planning Manager to support the delivery of planning applications across the North West. The role would be well suited to a Planner stepping up to a Planning Manager position, either from a consultancy or a housebuilder. You will play an important part in progressing sites through the planning system, assessing development opportunities, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects in line with programme and policy requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring planning performance and identifying potential risks or constraints
- Managing external consultants and overseeing project budgets
- Supporting design development through the planning process
- Ensuring compliance with planning policy, regulatory requirements, and sustainability objectives
- Coordinating and progressing planning applications from submission through to determination
The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrate experience in environmental assessments, negotiating planning conditions and obligations, and delivering planning applications
- Have a good understanding of the UK planning system
- Possess strong communication and organisational skills, with proficiency in MS Office
