About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Operations to join a well-established, values-driven organisation within the social care sector.

This senior leadership position sits on the Executive Management Team, with responsibility for overseeing service delivery, leading operational strategy, and ensuring high-quality, person-centred care across a diverse portfolio of services.

You’ll play a critical role in driving performance, supporting growth, and ensuring services consistently deliver positive outcomes for the people supported

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and develop operational teams across multiple services
  • Ensure services meet all regulatory, safeguarding, and contractual requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Oversee budgets, resources, and performance metrics
  • Monitor sector trends and policy changes to inform strategy
  • Produce reports and provide assurance to senior stakeholders and board members

About You

  • NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care or Management
  • Significant experience within the care sector (10+ years)
  • Proven track record in a senior leadership role
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs (e.g. autism, mental health, dementia)
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, including commissioners and local authorities
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel
