Site Services Technician

We are currently seeking a Site Services Technician to join a leading organisation operating within a highly regulated scientific and production environment. This is a hands-on role supporting site operations, waste management, warehousing activities, and facility services to ensure the smooth running of critical business functions.

This opportunity would suit an organised and proactive individual with experience in site services, facilities, warehousing, or maintenance environments who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.

The Role

As a Site Services Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining site standards, supporting waste management processes, coordinating supplier activities, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and operational procedures. You will work closely with site management and operational teams to support the efficient day-to-day running of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage site waste streams and ensure all materials are handled, stored, and disposed of correctly
  • Load and unload deliveries and coordinate supplier collections
  • Support warehouse operations, stock control, inventory management, and goods distribution
  • Carry out routine inspections and maintain accurate records
  • Operate site equipment safely, including forklifts where qualified
  • Monitor site services areas to ensure compliance with operational, safety, and quality standards
  • Support internal and external audits and maintain required documentation
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders as required
  • Assist with facility upkeep and general site maintenance activities
  • Promote a strong culture of health, safety, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a site services, facilities, warehousing, logistics, or maintenance environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience working within regulated or quality-driven environments is advantageous
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience within scientific, healthcare, pharmaceutical, laboratory, or manufacturing environments would be beneficial
