Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Executive role based in Hartlebury. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, including researching target markets, qualifying prospects, and generating leads across commercial, domestic, and public sector clients. The Business Development Executive will conduct outbound calls, respond to inbound enquiries, prepare quotations, and support tenders and proposals in line with company standards and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include managing and growing existing accounts, maintaining accurate CRM records, and providing regular sales forecasts and reports to management. The role also includes collaborating with operational and office teams to ensure client needs are understood, site visits are coordinated where required, and all communication reflects Safeline’s focus on safety, compliance, and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Proven skills in New Business Development and Lead Generation, with the ability to identify, approach, and convert prospects into long-term clients.
  • Strong Account Management and relationship-building skills to maintain, grow, and retain existing client portfolios.
  • Excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, effective presentation abilities, and professional client interaction.
  • Solid understanding of Business fundamentals, including commercial awareness, negotiation, and basic contract and pricing principles.
  • Previous experience in construction, environmental services, facilities management, or a related regulated industry is beneficial.
  • Comfort working in a safety-critical sector and willingness to learn about asbestos regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and standard office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentations).
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to visit client sites as required.
