You will lead the technical function from design coordination through to site delivery, overseeing a forward-thinking pipeline of developments. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the technical, engineering, and architectural design processes from planning approval through to construction completion.
  • Manage, brief, and coordinate external consultant teams, ensuring all technical packages are accurate, compliant, and delivered to strict deadlines.
  • Act as the technical lead on high-efficiency fabric designs, zero-carbon initiatives, and complex services integration.
  • Resolve intricate site queries, working in close collaboration with the commercial and production teams to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Ensure all designs meet or exceed current building regulations, warranty provider standards, and strict internal sustainability frameworks.
  • Required Experience & Skills

    • Timber Frame & SIP Expertise: Proven experience in managing residential schemes utilising timber frame and Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) construction methods is essential.
    • Infrastructure & Services: Strong background in navigating complex infrastructure packages, microgrids, structural engineering challenges, and multi-utility service installations.
    • Track Record: A minimum of 5 years of technical management experience with a residential developer, main contractor, or consultancy background.
    • Qualifications: A degree or equivalent professional qualification in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, or Building Surveying.
    • Driven, innovative mindset with an interest in sustainable development, Passivhaus principles, and low-carbon construction.
