Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Duties:

• Assist in the commercial management of a 45-storey RC frame new-build project.
• Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
• Assist with subcontract procurement, tender analysis, and package administration.
• Prepare and process valuations, variations, and payment applications.
• Monitor project costs and maintain accurate commercial records.
• Support the production of monthly CVRs and commercial reporting.
• Assist with subcontractor account management and final accounts.
• Liaise with site teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Help identify commercial risks and opportunities across the project.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures.

Requirement

• Degree qualified or working towards a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction industry
• Experience on RC frame, residential, or major construction projects is advantageous
• Good understanding of JCT and/or NEC contracts
• Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Eager to develop a long-term career in Quantity Surveying
• Full UK driving licence preferred
