Finance Assistant

As Finance Assistant, you will support the Finance team in maintaining the accuracy, integrity and efficiency of the hotel’s financial operations. You will play a key role in ensuring financial records, reporting and transactions are processed with precision, contributing to a well‑organised and compliant finance function within a luxury hospitality environment. This role is ideal for a detail‑driven and analytical individual who takes pride in accuracy, organisation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Check figures, postings and documents to ensure accuracy and correct coding
  • Maintain and organise financial records, files and documentation in line with company policies
  • Input, update and analyse financial data within accounting systems and spreadsheets
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, including accounting, auditing and statistical data
  • Support period‑end closing procedures and ensure deadlines are met
  • Prepare, review and reconcile invoices, billing statements and account recordsAssist with tracking and monitoring financial transactions and variances
  • Ensure all financial information is recorded accurately and securely
  • Support auditing and reporting processes where required
  • Respond to internal and external finance‑related queries professionally and in a timely manner
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information at all times
  • Work collaboratively with departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Follow all company policies, procedures and compliance standards

Core Competencies

  • Previous experience in a finance, accounting or administrative role, ideally within hospitality
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive and methodical approach to problem solving
