About the Role

We are a busy and growing manufacturing business looking for a reliable General Maintenance Operative to support the upkeep and smooth running of our site. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with a practical mindset and strong mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and mechanical repairs across the facility
• Perform regular inspections on machinery, equipment, and building infrastructure
• Support upkeep of production areas, including minor mechanical adjustments and repairs
• Assist with moving and installing equipment and materials
• Identify faults and escalation of more complex mechanical issues to the relevant teams
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site standards

About You

• Mechanically minded with a hands‑on approach
• Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment (preferred)
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and equipment maintenance
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Willing to learn and develop technical skills
