Labcorp is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at Eye in Suffolk. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm (37.5 hours).
Responsibilities
- Assisting Maintenance Engineering team with maintenance and repair of site plant and engineering systems.
- Working individually on maintenance tasks as assigned by Facilities Manager.
- Undertaking daily plant checks including steam boiler checks, water compliance, AHU, chillers, AC units, sewage treatment plant, etc.
- Undertaking building fabric repairs: door alignment, drainage repairs, minor decoration, etc.
- Carrying out PPMs.
- Liaising with and escort contractors.
- Operating forklift and tractor driving.
- Operating MEWP.
- Updating IT-based PPM systems.
- Communicating daily with Facilities Manager and maintenance team.
- Reporting all plant failures.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 or more GCSEs, to include English, Mathematics and Science.
Additional Job Standards
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing or construction trades.
- Alternatively ‘handyman’ experience and general exposure to construction and engineering environment will be considered.
- Valid UK drivers licence.
- Weekend overtime available.
