Job Description:

Labcorp is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at Eye in Suffolk. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm (37.5 hours).

Responsibilities

  • Assisting Maintenance Engineering team with maintenance and repair of site plant and engineering systems.
  • Working individually on maintenance tasks as assigned by Facilities Manager.
  • Undertaking daily plant checks including steam boiler checks, water compliance, AHU, chillers, AC units, sewage treatment plant, etc.
  • Undertaking building fabric repairs: door alignment, drainage repairs, minor decoration, etc.
  • Carrying out PPMs.
  • Liaising with and escort contractors.
  • Operating forklift and tractor driving.
  • Operating MEWP.
  • Updating IT-based PPM systems.
  • Communicating daily with Facilities Manager and maintenance team.
  • Reporting all plant failures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 or more GCSEs, to include English, Mathematics and Science.

Additional Job Standards

  • Experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing or construction trades.
  • Alternatively ‘handyman’ experience and general exposure to construction and engineering environment will be considered.
  • Valid UK drivers licence.
  • Weekend overtime available.
