We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team to support students in accessing our curriculum and to build friendships and social skills that enable success in school.
Responsibilities
Provide tailored support to all students in a given learning area or mainstream classroom, working in partnership with class teachers.
Work with individuals or small groups of children under the direction of teaching staff to facilitate access to the curriculum, develop student confidence and promote independent learning skills.
Aid removal of barriers to learning, whether social, emotional, medical or physically related.
Monitor and record student responses and learning achievements, and raise any unresolved problems to the attention of the teacher.
Qualifications
Grade C or equivalent at GCSE English and Maths.
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team within the school community.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people.
