Responsibilities – Mechanical Maintenance Technician
- Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs on mechanical and hydraulic systems across production equipment
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise machinery reliability and efficiency
- Troubleshoot breakdowns and implement effective, long-term solutions to minimise downtime
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise equipment performance (OEE)
- Maintain and service site equipment, utilities, and general mechanical systems
- Work collaboratively with production teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations
- Complete maintenance records and ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety standards
- Assist with basic electrical fault finding and repair where required
Experience / Qualifications – Mechanical Maintenance Technician
- Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Strong mechanical maintenance background within a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
- Basic electrical fault‑finding ability (desirable, not essential)
- Proven ability to diagnose faults and carry out efficient repairs
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, shift‑based environment
- A proactive, team‑oriented mindset with strong problem‑solving skills
