Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operative | East Herts – Ware Depot

Hours/Salary & Benefits: Depending on Experience

• Summer Season (March – September): 7am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7am-3.30pm Friday’s
• Winter Season (October – February): 7.30am-3pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am-2pm Friday’s

Responsibilities

• Perform grounds maintenance work including mowing large grassed areas, strimming, blowing, line marking and renovation, hedge trimming, and general maintenance of shrub beds.
• Mark sports fields and perform hedge cutting and hard surface spraying operations.
• In the winter months, carry out gritting on roads and pavements on an ad hoc/call-out basis.

• Reliable and conscientious
• Can-do attitude
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to work on one’s own initiative
• Previous experience of grounds maintenance work, horticultural tasks.
