What you’ll be doing
- Ensure the home and grounds are kept in a good state of repair and residents have access to all appropriate areas
- Maintain compliance with Health and Safety legislation throughout the home, and report any incidents
- Carry out day‑to‑day repairs and some refurbishment activity to keep standards in the care home
- Actively engage with staff, relatives, families and residents as part of the care home team
- Ensure regular safety checks and servicing of all equipment and keep accurate records
- Communicate effectively with the Home Manager and residents
About you
- Proven experience in maintenance and repair work
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Demonstrated Health and Safety awareness through discussion
- Share our values and demonstrate them at all times
- “Can‑Do” flexible team worker, problem fixer, passion for what you do, ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload, think out of the box and open to doing things differently
