As an Assistant Manager, You’ll Be Responsible For
- Our people – shift managers and crew. Leading from the front and being hands‑on, working on the line and in the dining area
- Supporting the General Manager in delivering perfect burgers & fries, store results and providing an above & beyond experience for your team and customers
- Creating an awesome working environment where people are happy to come to work and have fun while leading with our values – Competitive, Enthusiastic, Family, Get It Done and Integrity
- Ensuring every customer is delighted with their order and the Five Guys experience – you will deal with complaints promptly in an open and honest way
- Ensuring each shift runs smoothly and that our values form part of your shift management, thinking about long‑term plans
- Having full ownership of your P&L, driving sales whilst controlling costs
- Always leading with our values
- Spotting potential and developing your team to ensure a strong talent pipeline
What You Bring to the Table
- Experience: Ideally, at least 1–2 years of management experience in a similar role within a high‑volume hospitality or QSR environment. You know what it takes to run a busy shift and keep the energy high.
- Customer satisfaction: A track record of driving customer satisfaction scores, increasing engagement, and delivering excellent Mystery Shopper results and positive reviews.
- Financial responsibility: Experience assisting with P&L management, controlling labour costs and managing inventory/waste to hit profitability targets.
- Leadership skills: Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team. You don’t just manage; you develop people and identify future talent.
- Operational excellence: Solid understanding of food safety standards, health & safety regulations, and maintaining 5‑star hygiene ratings.
- Flexibility: Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
