Teaching Assistant – Leigh Academy Strood
Leigh Academy Strood is seeking an enthusiastic teaching assistant who will support and include SEN and EAL pupils within the school. The role involves working within a class to provide appropriate one‑to‑one support or small‑group support for pupils of any ability and curriculum area.

Salary & Working Hours
This is a permanent opportunity offering a salary of £21,543 per annum (£25,185 full‑time equivalent). Working 37 hours per week during term time plus one week of inset.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for pupils with a range of specific needs, including SEN and EAL.
- Deliver one‑to‑one and small‑group support within the classroom.
- Support pupils with SEMH/SLCN and deliver small group interventions.
- Assist in the implementation of the Special Resource Provision for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Qualifications & Skills
- Adaptable, personable and committed to providing excellent service.
- Positive work ethic and can‑do attitude.
- Experience working with young people, particularly primary aged, with SEMH/SLCN.
- Desirable experience delivering small‑group interventions.
