PE Teacher – Alternative Provision – ASAP Start
We are looking for a QTS PE teacher to support young people facing barriers to learning in East Birmingham. The role involves working with small groups of students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs or who have been excluded from mainstream education.
Responsibilities
- Teach PE to small groups of students in an alternative provision
- Plan and deliver engaging and structured PE lessons
- Support students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours
- Promote teamwork, resilience and positive attitudes
- Build strong relationships to support engagement and behaviour
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Work closely with support staff and pastoral teams
- Monitor and report on student progress and participation
