• Good levels of Literacy and Numeracy NVQ level 2or equivalent
• For Grade 6 – Level 3 TA qualification orequivalent
• Well-constructed and well-presented application,addressing the specific requirements of this post
• Experience of working with young people in the11 – 16 age range
• Have sufficient understanding to support pupils’learning, and be able to acquire further knowledge to contribute effectivelyand with confidence to the classes in which you are involved
• Knowledge of a range of strategies to promotegood behaviour
• Ability to work with and support othercolleagues
• Good oral and written communication skills Theability to develop effective relationships with pupils and colleagues
• A genuine enthusiasm for young people and anability to engage them in learning
• Excellent attendance and punctuality record
• Ability to work to deadlines Understand anduphold the school’s policies and procedures
• Awareness of the need for confidentiality
• Evidence of a sense of humour, enthusiasm andcommitment
