Prison Officer – HMP Long Lartin
Location: HMP Long Lartin, South Littleton, Evesham, Worcestershire WR11 8TZ.
Salary
Starting salary: £35,875 per year (39 hour week, 20% unsocial). Options include 37 or 41 hours a week (see salary table).
- 37 hours a week – £33,746 a year
- 39 hours a week – £35,875 a year
- 41 hours a week – £38,003 a year
Responsibilities
- Protect the public and maintain the safety and security of the prison.
- Support and work with prisoners, building constructive and professional relationships.
- Act as part of the prison team, supporting colleagues and working various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
- Carry out duties that may include peace‑keeping, counselling, training or teaching roles.
Qualifications & Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- Meet Civil Service nationality requirements.
- Pass a medical and fitness assessment, including eyesight and hearing tests.
- Have a valid UK residence certificate of the last 3 years for CTC vetting.
- Acceptable tattoo policy; facial tattoos are generally not permitted.
