About the Role
The Clean Water Modeller will support the multidisciplinary Water Team in Scotland, helping shape sustainable water systems, primarily on the Scottish Water’s SR27 Enterprise program.
Responsibilities
- Develop and calibrate clean water models, maintain models and support optioneering and growth studies.
- Collaborate with AECOM’s multidisciplinary teams to develop design solutions and contribute to optioneering studies.
- Prepare Health & Safety risk assessment documentation.
- Manage project workload and deadlines, ensuring efficient delivery.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior team members.
- Produce reports and technical documents.
Qualifications
- Experience with clean water modelling software such as Infoworks WS Pro or Synergi.
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, MapInfo, QGIS).
- Understanding of financial and programme constraints of projects.
- Ability to work to project scope and client modelling specifications.
- Self‑motivated, ownership of workload, and strong communication skills.
- Experience in technical review, design and optioneering input.
- Experience liaising with water industry stakeholders.
Desirable
- Degree or Masters in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science or related discipline.
- Track record of delivering hydraulic network modelling projects.
- Eligibility for chartership with CIWEM, ICE or similar professional bodies.
- Experience mentoring or managing staff.
- Programming skills in Ruby or Python.
