About the Role

The Clean Water Modeller will support the multidisciplinary Water Team in Scotland, helping shape sustainable water systems, primarily on the Scottish Water’s SR27 Enterprise program.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and calibrate clean water models, maintain models and support optioneering and growth studies.
  • Collaborate with AECOM’s multidisciplinary teams to develop design solutions and contribute to optioneering studies.
  • Prepare Health & Safety risk assessment documentation.
  • Manage project workload and deadlines, ensuring efficient delivery.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior team members.
  • Produce reports and technical documents.

Qualifications

  • Experience with clean water modelling software such as Infoworks WS Pro or Synergi.
  • Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, MapInfo, QGIS).
  • Understanding of financial and programme constraints of projects.
  • Ability to work to project scope and client modelling specifications.
  • Self‑motivated, ownership of workload, and strong communication skills.
  • Experience in technical review, design and optioneering input.
  • Experience liaising with water industry stakeholders.

Desirable

  • Degree or Masters in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science or related discipline.
  • Track record of delivering hydraulic network modelling projects.
  • Eligibility for chartership with CIWEM, ICE or similar professional bodies.
  • Experience mentoring or managing staff.
  • Programming skills in Ruby or Python.
