Level 2 Teaching Assistant (Fixed Term) – Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School

The role

Required from September 2026, the Governors of Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, dedicated and caring Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our happy and hardworking team. The role is initially a one year fixed term contract with an extension possible. The successful candidate will be required to work 15.5 hours per week: 08:30 to 12:00 Wednesday, 08:30 – 15:30 Thursday & Friday.

We are looking for someone who:

• Will fully support the Catholic ethos of our school.
• Has a nurturing, enthusiastic manner with good communication skills.
• Is very positive and has a desire to succeed with children.
• Preferably has experience supporting children with SEND.
• Is calm and demonstrates good behaviour control.
• Works well as a team and is flexible.
• Is qualified to at least Level 2 or equivalent.
• Feels confident in their own Maths / English skills appropriate to demands of all key stages.
• Shows initiative whilst also being able to work under the direction of the class teacher.
• Engages in aspects of wider school life.
• Has a good sense of humour.
