We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading modular accommodation specialist for an Accommodation & Welfare Installation Operative to support installation, refurbishment, maintenance and fit‑out work on portable accommodation and welfare units.

The Role
You’ll be involved in all aspects of installation, dismantling, maintenance and refurbishment of modular accommodation and welfare units both on customer sites and within workshop environments.
Typical duties include:
- Installing and dismantling modular accommodation units
- Fitting and removing partitions, ceilings, floors and fittings
- Refurbishment and fit‑out work
- Basic plumbing and electrical repairs
- Maintenance of canteen and toilet facilitiesReplacing locks, handles and fixtures
- General repair, assembly and maintenance tasks
- Using hand and power tools
- Supporting lifting and installation operations
- Ensuring work is completed safely and to high standards
- Providing a professional service on customer sites
This is a client‑facing role, so a positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience within maintenance, fitting, refurbishment or installation environments
- Basic plumbing, joinery or general building maintenance skills
- Comfortable using power and hand tools
- Flexible approach to travel and working hours
- Team player with a proactive attitude
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Experience within modular buildings, portable cabins or welfare accommodation would be highly advantageous.
