Pay and Working Hours
Hourly rate: £13.15 per hour. Hours per week: Full time (37.5 hours) or part time (22.5-30 hours).
Training and Support
Full training provided. Opportunities to complete an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
Enhanced DBS check required.
Who will I support?
Female support workers supporting a lady with learning disabilities and complex support needs in her own home. She enjoys long walks by the canal in her wheelchair and drives in her car; enjoys being outdoors in all weather.
Shifts may include weekends and sleep‑in shifts as part of a flexible rota.
Responsibilities
- Support with all aspects of the day, balancing complex health needs with activities she enjoys.
- Assist with long walks and drives outdoors.
- Adapt support to non‑verbal communication needs.
- Work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleep‑in shifts.
Qualifications
- Previous experience of supporting people with additional healthcare needs.
- Experience supporting people with non‑verbal communication needs.
- Female (gender genuine occupational requirement as per Equality Act 2010).
