About you

  • Demonstrable experience in senior financial management and governance within a complex organisation
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Sound knowledge of corporate governance, public sector finance, and audit processes
  • Excellent strategic planning and policy development capabilities
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • Relevant professional qualification such as CCAB, CA, or equivalent

What you’ll do

  • Provide high-level leadership over finance and governance functions, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and objectives
  • Oversee budget management of over £20m, maintaining compliance with policies and funding requirements
  • Lead implementation of governance frameworks, risk management, and financial controls to ensure organisational integrity
  • Direct internal and external audit processes, ensuring recommendations are effectively implemented
  • Support senior management and the Board through insightful advice, reports, and strategic input
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, policies, and systems to enhance efficiency and accountability
