In this role, you will be part of the team that ensures AWS’s supply chain can deliver datacenter racks, servers, and networking equipment to our datacenters across the globe. The team clears strategic problems and enables execution, giving it a deep understanding of the entire end‑to‑end supply chain.
Key job responsibilities
- Driving consensus and standardization for acceptable levels of risk and best practices across supply chain operations.
- Developing technical solutions that drive automation at scale to ensure datacenter infrastructure is delivered on‑time, in‑full.
- Proactively working with other organizations to anticipate gaps between teams, processes, and system architectures, influencing where no formal reporting structures exist.
- Articulating in writing (actual papers, not slides) key issues and strategic initiatives for senior leadership.
- Acting as a thought and business leader in the field of cybersecurity, supply chain risk management, and supply chain operations.
- Ensuring the supply chain delivers on our security and risk management commitments to customers and supports operational teams in obtaining infrastructure hardware when needed.
- Representing AWS supply chain during engagements with public sector customers, translating regulatory and customer requirements into actionable deliverables.
- Maintaining UK citizenship and securing the required clearance for the government agencies involved after joining.
A day in the life
You work at the intersection of security, operations, and risk management, addressing supply chain security and risk concerns for UK‑based public sector customers while collaborating with international peers to drive standardization and scalable practices across the global supply chain.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of program management or technical project management experience.
- Experience owning program strategy, end‑to‑end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
- Experience working with large, complex data sets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS data warehouse and reporting technologies such as Redshift, Athena, and S3.
- Experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, or other BI packages.
