Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield

Salary: £32,500 – £37,500 + Pension + Healthcare + Technical Progression

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

About the Role

We are looking for an Intermediate Applications Engineer to join our growing Engineering team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer looking to develop their technical and project management skills within a supportive environment. You’ll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and customers to deliver high-quality engineering projects from order through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of technical designs, work instructions, and project documentation.
• Act as a key link between engineering, manufacturing, and customers.
• Assist in managing projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to specification.
• Liaise with customers throughout the project lifecycle, providing technical support and updates.
• Work with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient and safe project execution.
• Coordinate procurement requirements and project documentation.
• Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and attend customer meetings when required.
• Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and business management systems.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Engineering.
• Experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to interpret technical information and produce accurate documentation.
• Proactive approach to problem‑solving and project delivery.

Desirable

• Previous experience in an Applications Engineer, Project Engineer, or Design Engineer role.
• Experience working with technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• AutoCAD experience.
• Experience supporting customer‑facing engineering projects.
