As one of the first London-based engineers, you will build and own production‑grade Python services for AI‑driven products. You will design scalable APIs, optimize Postgres data layers, and lead architectural decisions. This role offers genuine end‑to‑end ownership, from initial specification to production monitoring, within a high‑momentum team expanding its UK presence.

What You Will Do

• Architect and maintain high‑performance Backend services using Python (FastAPI), Postgres, and Redis.
• Own the entire product lifecycle from initial system design through to AWS deployment and production reliability.
• Work directly with the founding team to translate complex requirements into scalable, AI‑driven technical solutions.

The ideal candidate

• Possesses 4+ years of experience building production APIs in Python with a focus on FastAPI, Django, or similar frameworks.
• Demonstrates mastery of SQL and schema design, with a proven track record of optimizing database performance at scale.
• Shows a strong sense of ownership and experience managing production environments using AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes.
