Infrastructure Specialist – City of London – £65,000‑£85,000 + Excellent Benefits + On‑call

I’m currently partnering with a highly reputable London Market Insurer looking to hire an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to join their growing IT Infrastructure team based in the City of London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong 3rd Line / Infrastructure professional who enjoys working across BAU, projects, service improvement, and core infrastructure support within a complex enterprise environment.

We’re particularly keen to speak with candidates who are immediately available or on short notice periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting and maintaining core infrastructure services
• Acting as a technical lead on infrastructure change initiatives
• Managing and improving monitoring, backup, DR, and patching solutions
• Supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, and cloud environments
• Working across both operational support and strategic infrastructure projects
• Providing 3rd line escalation support across the business
• Managing storage and virtualization technologies
• Weekend work paid at time and a half
• Hybrid working – minimum 1 day per week in the office (business needs dependent)

The successful candidate will join the on‑call rota after probation (approximately 1 week in every 10 weeks).
